Radio Alfa is French private radio station owned by Les Indés Radios.

The station broadcasts rogramming has a general character: music programs, integrated writing for information in French and Portuguese, broadcasts receiving many guests from the world of economy, social and entertainment, broadcasting live sports events and information from Portugal.

History[]

It is the only Portuguese-speaking community radio covering the entire Paris/Ile de France, 24 hours a day on the FM 98.6 band.

This particularity gives it a potential of 800,000 Portuguese-speaking listeners (speaking Portuguese), mostly from Portugal.

At its beginnings, it is authorized in frequency sharing (from 5:00 to 17:00) with Tabala FM.

It is a commercial radio launched by the Association Luso-Française Audiovisuelle - ALFA.

Radio ALFA broadened its broadcasting via Canal Satellite (since September 26, 1997) and via the Internet (since December 1999). These broadcasts provide a reception alternative depending on the listening location and increase the number of potential listeners.

The programming has a generalist character: musical programs, integrated writing for information in French and Portuguese, broadcasts receiving many guests from the world of the economy, the social and the shows, broadcasting of sports events and live information from Portugal.

Most of the listeners are between 25 and 45 years old. A varied audience, family organization, more and more integrated and consumer in France. In addition, the number and quality of associations allow us to organize superb events based on folklore, dances and music from different Portuguese regions.

Areas of interest to our community include food, football, cars, national and international transport, marriage, building (materials, equipment, employment), banks and insurance, catering, shopping centers, beauty and recreation.

Radio ALFA organizes each year in June since 1989, the popular event of Portuguese music, the Fête Des Saints Populaires. This is the largest gathering of the Portuguese community in Europe.

Armand LOPES, businessman is the owner of Radio Alfa.

Fernando LOPES is the director of Radio Alfa.

In June 2017, she turns 30 in front of 15,000 people with a concert by Tony CARREIRA (the Portuguese Johnny Hallyday).
